The design of a sustainable green space is based on choosing plants according to seasonality, growth requirements and biodiversity.
We encourage the use of indigenous plants, the intercropping of compatible varieties and respect for the space needed by each plant, with the aim of reducing the use of pesticides and encouraging the role of pollinating insects, for a healthier and more resilient environment all year round.
We believe that greenery has the power to enrich everyone’s life.
Our mission is to make the beauty of nature accessible to everyone by bringing plants and gardens into homes, offices and outdoor spaces to improve our well-being and the quality of the environment in which we live.
Our work stems from a passion for nature and a wish to reawaken that instinctive connection that everyone has with the environment, but which often tends to get lost in the daily hustle and bustle of urban life.
Looking after your own green space, however small, relieves stress and stimulates well-being through the production of serotonin.
We take special care with every detail, guaranteeing the highest standards of cleanliness and respect for your property.
Our vision is to transform the city into a more liveable environment, where being in contact with nature becomes an integral part of everyday life.
We work with passion to
We want Milan to become the model of a green city, in which everyone can rediscover the well-being that only nature can offer.
My name is Alessandro, founder of Plant MI, a project that stems from my deep love for nature and, in particular, for plants. My passion for horticulture has been my guide since the very first stages of my career, which began with a diploma at the horticulture school of the Minoprio Foundation, one of the most prestigious horticultural institutions in Italy.
After more than ten years of experience as a gardener on Lake Como, I had the opportunity to broaden my experience by working as the head gardener in a historic villa in Brianza, Villa Sommi Picenardi. But my wish to expand my knowledge even further and to take on new challenges led me to relocate to London.
There I worked for a premium gardening company and later took on the role of assistant head gardener at Grove House, the London residence of the Sultan of Oman. This work experience gave me the opportunity to learn innovative techniques and hone my skills in an international environment.
After more than 20 years of practical experience, I decided to return to Italy to launch Plant MI, with the aim of making Milan a greener city. I wanted to bring my know-how to a wider audience, turning my passion into a true profession.
A recent three-month experience in South-East Asia has further enriched my vision of greenery, allowing me to deepen my knowledge of tropical plants and to explore new possibilities for designing indoor gardens, ideal for homes and offices.
With a rich and varied career, today I believe I can be considered a point of reference for anyone wishing to transform their space into a little piece of nature, while still focusing on sustainability and respect for the environment.
